Jean Ziegler in La Brenaz for the FIFDH 2017
four awards for best documentary awarded by special jurys
Films in competition, an introduction to cinema and four special jurys: the FIFDH presents an official documentary selection specially designed for incarcerated people and for adolescents of the HUG’s Hôpital de Jour.
From 15 February to 15 March, the inmates serving sentences at La Brenaz, incarcerated women from Champ-Dollon, minors from La Clairière and patients at the Hôpital de Jour screen films in the presence of their protagonists and crew.
Following the program, they will award a prize to their favorite film, which will appear in the FIFDH’s official prize list.
People who have been judged become judges: we flip the gaze, open up a space of discussion, and everyone can regain confidence in one’s own critical faculties. Cinema has the power to unite as well as break walls. See you at the FIFDH closing ceremony to discover the winning films.
