UN CONTE CRUEL

A Comédie de Genève production, co-produced by Poche/GVE
with the support of the cultural funds of Société Suisse des Auteurs (SSA).


In this play, Valerie Poirier, Martine Paschoud andthe association Solidarité Femmes meet to discuss an alarming official report: in Switzerland, one in five women suffers from physical or sexual violence from an intimate partner during her life.


The play will be presented alongside the evening “Women: A Light on Domestic Violence” Friday, March 11th at the Théâtre Le Poche.


Screening of the film Paroles de femmes (sur la violence conjugale) by Richard Dindo, followed by a discussion.

With the words of Stefano Massini and the staging of Dominique de Rivaz, the story of Anna Politkovskaja is a lively display of the fierce struggle for human rights.


This theater play echoes the roundtable “Will violence undermine the press?” that will be held on Friday, March 11th at 6 pm at Théâtre du Galpon.


The discussion will be followed by the screening of Chechnya, A War Without Trace by Manon Loiseau in presence of the film’s director.
