Sport and human rights: on your marks! 

For the first time, in partnership with the Sports Department of the City of Geneva, FIFDH presents a series of screenings devoted to sports and human rights, in presence of many local and international sportmens!


The highlight of the event will be the screening of Rebelles du Foot, produced by Eric Cantona, in Vélodrome de Genève on March 8th.

Followed by a debate with Owen Gibson, Chief correspondant in sports for Guardian, and John Morrison, executive director of Institute for Human Rights and Business, moderated by Darius Rochebin, RTS.

Screening of episodes of the series Les Rebelles du foot, followed by a discussion on sport and social commitment.

Gilles Perez and Gills Rof, co-directors of Rebelles du foot
Predrac Pasic, Bosnian soccer player who gounded a multi-ethnic soccer school in Sarajevo during the siege of the 1990s.
Jérémy Frick, soccer goalkeeper from Geneva currently playing for FC Biel after having played unter Servette and Olympique Lyonnais’ colors.

Followed by a discussion.

Honey Thaljieh, first female soccer player in Palestine and co-founder of the women’s national team of Palestine.

Claudio Tamburrini, Argentine soccer player who played under the dictatorship, and who then was arrested and tortured for his political activities before espaging and going into exile in Sweden.
